Village Halls are great for our communities. Multi purpose spaces that are used for every generation for mother and baby events, sports and crafts and places for the elderly to meet and take part in activities. With such a vast range of uses it is important to offer a sound acoustic environment that makes the hall a habitable space and a place people want to spend time.

The issue with many Village halls as far as acoustic are concerned, is they are always large volume areas, often with high vaulted ceilings and generally finished with hard easy clean surfaces. This creates the perfect environment for reverberation and the sound waves to continue prolonged energy while they bounce around these massive spaces. With the multipurpose use of a village hall this can be difficult for young children and also elderly with hearing difficulties making it a place you cannot concentrate and do not desire to spend time.
