Acoustic Wall Systems

Acoustic wall systems reduce airborne noise transfer through separating walls. Airborne noise is speech, TV, and music. Soundproofing walls are designed to improve privacy and comfort in residential and commercial spaces. Our high-performance systems combine the very best high-mass materials, insulation, and resilient isolation to effectively reduce sound transmission and offer optimum acoustic performance. We have a range of wall systems including low-profile options and independent wall linings. See our full range below.

Genie Wall 80 Acoustic System

The Genie Wall 80 Acoustic System is a slimline low profile acoustic lining. Designed to give a high level of reduction whilst maintain as much space possible in your room.

Opti 120 Acoustic Wall System

The Opti 120 Acoustic Wall System is our optimum performance acoustic wall lining. The system looks to limit resonce in the existing structure then add a substantial mass lining with a deep cavity insulated with high performance acoustic insulation.

Opti Wall 140 dBoard Acoustic System

The Opti Wall 140 creates a large separation with an entirely independent void with Maxi resilient bars and our unique acoustic board dBoard.

Genie 150 Acoustic Wall System

The Genie 150 Acoustic Wall System is our deepest independent wall lining system. This wall system is high mass and focuses on isolation and decoupling.

How Do Acoustic Wall Systems Improve Soundproofing?

Acoustic wall systems work by reducing airborne and impact noise through a combination of insulation, isolation, and mass:

  • Insulation Layers: Acoustic wall insulation systems such as Opti 120 use deep cavities filled with sound-absorbing materials to dampen resonance and absorb noise.
  • Decoupling and Isolation: Systems like the Opti Wall 140 dBoard use resilient bars and independent lining to break the direct sound path, preventing sound energy from transferring.
  • Mass-Loaded Barriers: High-density materials like Tecsound membranes and our dBoard product reduce sound transfer by blocking sound waves.

What Are the Different Types of Acoustic Wall Systems?

We have four distinct acoustic wall systems to meet the needs of different projects and spaces. Each system includes the necessary components to deliver effective soundproofing:

Genie Wall 80 Acoustic System

The Genie Wall 80 is a low-profile acoustic wall lining system, designed for projects where space is limited but effective soundproofing is still required.

It uses Genie Clip technology and high-mass Tecsound membranes to provide significant noise reduction in just 80mm depth.

It’s best for residential spaces, offices, and rooms where minimal space loss is essential.

Opti 120 Acoustic Wall System

The Opti 120 is a fully independent acoustic wall system that creates a deep insulated void between the existing wall and the new lining. It reduces resonance in the original structure while adding multiple layers of mass to block sound transmission.

It’s best for high-performance acoustic wall insulation systems in homes, offices, and recording studios.

Opti Wall 140 dBoard Acoustic System

The Opti Wall 140 features a fully independent void, deep fail-safe resilient bars, and our unique high-mass dBoard acoustic wall board. This system eliminates direct sound paths, making it one of the most effective solutions for soundproofing walls.

It’s best for residential and domestic party walls and commercial buildings needing high-level sound insulation.

Genie 150 Acoustic Wall System

The Genie 150 is our deepest acoustic wall system, featuring two levels of isolation and multiple layers of mass. This system is completely independent from the existing structure, offering high-performance noise reduction.

It’s best for professional recording studios and buildings requiring the highest level of soundproofing.

Which Acoustic Wall System Is Right for My Project?

When selecting the right acoustic wall system, here are some of the factors you should consider:

  • Acoustic Performance: We have several acoustic wall systems with varying levels of acoustic performance. What level of impact does your project require?
  • Noise Type: Do you need to prioritise a solution for the kind of noise you are experiencing? Airborne noise but which type of problem? Speech, music, dogs, TV?
  • Space Availability: Assess the available room space. If space is limited, opt for a low-profile system. Deeper systems offer superior acoustic performance but occupy more space.
  • Building Type: You’ll need to match your system to your project’s purpose, whether that’s a residential building, an office, or more unique spaces like recording studios or cinemas.
